- Ideopsis similis found in Okinawa has a similar appearance to this species, but the patterns on wings and size are different between these two species. Some of the species have been identified to migrate from Japanese Archipelago to Nansei Islands and Taiwan, however, more study is required to find why they migrate the long distance.
