- It can be found in wet and well-sunlit areas on foothills and shoulders of mountains. Drosera spatulata is a carnivorous plant feeding on bugs attracted by sweet scented mucus from hair-like organs, tentacles, on the species’ leaves. The Japanese common name implies bryophytes, but it is a flowering plant.
