Species Distribution
Amamioshima Island and southward within Indo-West Pacific. Okinawa is the only place where the species is found alive currently in Japan.

This species is similar to Terebralia palustris of the same genus, but T. sulcata has an arched aperture. Red soil runoff causing sedimentation and mangrove forest destruction is a concern today since its habitats on the land rely on the mangrove environment.
