The surface of its shell is covered with yellowish-brown shell skins having oyster-like shell speckles. This species belongs to the family Hypsogastropoda even though the shell shape is similar to that of the family Conidae. Some people assume that the species is mimicking family Conidae to avoid predators. It is a popular snail for food.
