It is loosely related to crickets, and it lives in mangrove trees making swarms. Neither males nor females can chirp due to its degenerated wings. Long antennae can be more than three times of the body length. Besides circadian rhythm to follow sunrise and daytime, Mangrove Cricket has a circatidal rhythm to follow tides.
