- This crustacean species mainly inhabits around claw bases of Macrophthalmus spp. In Okinawa prefecture, Okinawa and Yabuchi Islands are the only places where the species was reported in the past. This species is a very unique species of the Order Lepadiformes since it attaches to claws of crabs found in subtidal and low intertidal zones.
