- Some species of family Myidae are known to live symbiotically with Callianassa petalura, a crustacean, in burrows. Distugonia decurvata, one of the species of family Myidae, is thought to live with another creature, but its ecology remains unclear. It can be found in river mouths where a high biological diversity is observed.
