- This species is a beautiful green-colored frog with gold and purple dots on its back. Typically inactive, Ishikawa’s frog tends to sit in one place camouflaged in the algae growing on rocks. This frog is mysterious because of its taxonomy. No closely related animals are found yet. It is not clear if the closely related species is considered extinct or if the species evolved in the current habitat isolated from other species.
