Species Distribution

In Okinawa, Izena, Miyako, and Okinawa Islands. Other distribution areas include Africa, India, Malaysia, Twaiwan, Kanto and a part of Hokuriku regions of Honshu of Japan.

Okinawa Red List of Threatened Species:Vulnerable

This species naturally grows in wetlands and paddy fields. Since population and distribution areas are known to be limited, habitat reduction due to modern development is a concern.
