- This species prefers feeding on plants of Celastraceae during larvae stage. The species is often found in residential areas in the Okinawa area since Maytenus diversifolia, plants of Celestraceae, are typically used for landscaping.
- A similar species, Abraxas niphonibia, can be differentiated by looking for dark brown coloration. Abraxas miranda does not have dark brown rings on its forewings (big front wings).
